What You'll Do:
- Bid Review and Qualification: Monitor bid boards and GC invitations; review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents to qualify opportunities that fit our scope and capacity.
- Layouts and Takeoffs: Develop layouts and material takeoffs for all phases of new construction, remodels, and tenant improvements.
- Proposals: Prepare clear, competitive proposals with scope narratives, inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications; submit on time and follow up with customers through award.
- Project Handoff: Hand awarded work to project management and field leadership with a clear scope summary and customer expectations.
- Cost Data and Vendor Pricing: Maintain historical cost data, labor units, and vendor and subcontractor quotes; compare estimated versus actual costs on completed jobs to sharpen future bids.
- Project Support: Support projects as needed through design and construction, including plan review, quality control, and change order pricing.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Degree in Construction Management, Fire Protection, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Experience: 3+ years of fire sprinkler estimating, or 5+ years of combined sprinkler design, installation, project management, and estimating experience
- Certifications: NICET Level II or higher in Water-Based Systems Layout
- Availability: Full-time in-office, Monday through Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm
- Compliance: Drug screening and background checks will only be conducted after a conditional job offer is made. We evaluate criminal history based on its relevance to the job duties.
- Pay: $80,000 - $140,000 per year including incentive opportunities; pay depends on experience and qualifications
